Hints and Tips |
Keep your words and phrases to the point. Be as objective as you can.
Remember. Here, you are an intelligent entity of thoughts. You are not YOU. You are not bound by your personal beliefs, affiliations, etc. You can play devil's advocate, explore other ideas which you would never think of exploring as the real you. Learn, understand other points of view. Become other points of view. Contribute to the tree of knowledge. You are but one leaf in a vast forest of intelligence. Make your thoughts known. |
Know the type of question |
Debatable questions If the question is a debatable question, there is an immediate opportunity to agree or disagree. Formulate your responses and chose to either agree or disagree. If you have a question or a reply that is not picking a side for or against, use the Questions or Comments option. Fielding questions If the question asks for ideas on a particular topic, use the Questions or Comments option to reply with your ideas. This can lead to a debate on the pros and cons of your reply. |
Field of Thoughts is an experimental messaging system designed to maximise understanding and minimize confusion, even with complex discussion, many viewpoints, multiple conversations and multiple back-and-forth counterpoints.
The indentations can show cooperative discussions (diagonal right) and strong conflict (diagonal left). These "rabbit holes" lead to a rapid understanding of incumbent positions on subjects (bottom left) and progress forwarding one's understanding (bottom right). Look out for these in the field.
The thumbs system helps mitigate spam and clutter. Messages that do not add to the field should be thumbed down. This pushes them towards the bottom of the stacks. This method also conversely can be used to push interesting, insightful and informative thoughts to the top.
