I canâ€™t wait for Gen IV nuclear or thorium to be the primary source of energy people use. Sooooooo much more eco-friendly and soooo much cheaper over years of use.

The amount of damage done by things like lithium mining in order to create solar panels is enormous. And the shelf life on wind turbines is abysmal and once they break down they just end up buried since they ironically can't be recycled.

Why would we waste time building massive solar and wind farms when we'll have to build and maintain backup facilities anyway when we could just build nukes and not have to worry about surges in demand, weather, or storage?

We have a huge ball of energy right above us, we just need a good way to harness it. Its literally free infinite energy. We too focused on gas and oil to want to figure this out

If all the area of Sahara dessert is covered by solar panels, most of the heat will be absorbed and be converted into energy, no heat in the area resulting in no "sand storm". And there will be time when ac and DC current would be transfered long distance wireless and very less energy loss too in the process.

When it comes to preserving the future of the human race by making sure our planet doesn't become uninhabitable for the majority of people around the world, cost should not be a factor. The alternative is a rapidly changing ecosystem that we and most other species will be unable to adapt to. It's time to stop putting a price on the life of our planet.
